If you like birds, you can't miss this birdwatching trip at the San Rafael ranch. We'll take a hiking route to observe different birds of the Argentinian province of Chaco.
Birdwatching at the San Rafael Estate
We'll start this activity by meeting at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael, a private nature reserve located in the outskirts of Resistencia. We will embark on a low-difficulty hiking route lasting two hours, covering between 3 and 8 kilometres (2 and 5 miles), depending on the group and weather conditions.
During the walk, we will spot various endemic birds, including toucans, cardinals, and red-footed chuñas. We will learn to distinguish these species by their beaks and plumage. If conditions permit, we may also see different hawks and various aquatic birds such as the ipequí and the sirirí duck.
We will conclude the hiking route by returning to the starting point by 11:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
You can book a pickup at your hotel in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. After arriving at the estate, we will start birdwatching at 9:30 am. Following the experience, we will return to your hotel, arriving by 12:30 pm.
