If you like birds, you can't miss this birdwatching trip at the San Rafael ranch. We'll take a hiking route to observe different birds of the Argentinian province of Chaco.
Birdwatching at the San Rafael Estate
We'll start this activity by meeting at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael, a private nature reserve located in the outskirts of Resistencia.
We'll embark on a low-difficulty hiking route lasting two hours, covering between 3 and 8 kilometres (2 and 5 miles) depending on the group and weather conditions.
During the walk, we will spot various endemic birds such as toucans, cardinals, and red-footed chuñas. We will learn to distinguish them by their beaks and plumage.
If conditions allow, we may also see different hawks and aquatic birds like the ipequí and sirirí duck. The ideal local ecosystem provides a habitat for these species.
We will conclude the route by returning to the starting point, arriving at 11:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
You can book a pickup option from your hotel in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. After arriving at the estate, birdwatching will start at 9:30 am.
After the experience, we'll return to your hotel in Resistencia, arriving at 12:30 pm.
