Are you ready to immerse yourself in a serene day surrounded by nature? On this excursion to the San Rafael estate, situated on the fringes of Resistencia, you will experience the stunning scenery of its exclusive nature reserve.
Discovering the San Rafael Estate
Your enriching countryside journey will commence at 9:30 am at the Estancia San Rafael.
Upon your arrival at this renowned private nature area, you will be greeted with an appetizing breakfast. The selection includes coffee, tea, or mate cocido, offered with or without milk. You will also savor an assortment of pastries, fried dough, pepas, palmeritas, and homemade sponge cakes. A gluten-free option is available as well.
Following this satisfying breakfast, we will embark on an exploration of the reserve through various trails. Travel will be in an off-road vehicle known as a safari truck, and this journey will last roughly one hour, covering 5 kilometers (3 miles) as you absorb the breathtaking natural vistas.
Upon completing the ride, we will proceed to the livestock area on the estate. Here, you'll encounter several animals and gain insights into the agricultural practices undertaken within the reserve. You will also discover the rich biodiversity that defines this region of the Chaco province, located in northern Argentina.
Next, our journey leads us to the quincho, the estate's barbecue spot. Here, you will indulge in a traditional Argentine lunch featuring empanadas, grilled meats, and a sweet dessert. Vegetarian meals and options for those with dietary restrictions are also available.
After your meal, take a moment to unwind in the estate's garden while you learn about the history of the San Rafael reserve and the nearby Colonia Amadeo. Our countryside experience will conclude at 3:30 pm.
Transportation Options
If you prefer, you can opt for hotel pickup in Resistencia between 8:20 am and 8:30 am. Once we reach the ranch, our day will officially begin at 9:30 am with breakfast.
Following the day spent in the countryside, we will return to your hotel in Resistencia around 4:30 pm.
