Galician Cooking Workshop+ Market Shopping

When booking, you can choose between three options. Each starts at Rúa Alfredo Vicenti in La Coruña and offers the opportunity to learn about Galician gastronomy. Below are the three options:

Tapas workshop (1.5 hours)

We'll meet at the designated time for an introduction to the menu. After understanding the ingredients, we'll follow the chef's instructions to create traditional tapas, depending on the ingredient availability, typically including chicharrones toast with local cheese, prawn salpicón, mussels cooked in Godello wine, raxo a la gallega with patatas bravas, and Santiago cake.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday at 2:30 pm.

Cooking Workshop(2 hours)

In this class, we’ll learn to prepare traditional Galician dishes while discussing culinary customs. The chef will share secrets of ancestral recipes popular in Galician kitchens, including mussels, paella with squid and cockles, volandeiras with ham, and Santiago cake.

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday at 11:30 am.

Cooking Workshop+ Market Shopping (3 hours)

We will first go to the market in Lugo Square, where we will explore various stalls, selecting ingredients for our dishes from the meat, sausage, fruit, and vegetable vendors.

After shopping, we'll learn to prepare traditional Galician recipes and then enjoy our creations.

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 am.
