Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Marktplatz, the heart of Aachen. From there, we'll start this free tour and discover important monuments of the city of Charlemagne.

We'll stop in front of the Town Hall, a Gothic style building constructed between 1353 and 1414 on the ruins of a palace, significant as a political and social meeting place.

Next, we'll visit the Aachen Cathedral, dating from construction that began in 787, recognized as the first World Heritage Site in Germany and the oldest cathedral in Northern Europe.

We will admire various fountains of Aachen, including the 18th-century Elissenbrunnen and the Puppenbrunnen, known for its design with bronze puppets.

Afterward, we will view the Klenkes sculpture, which symbolizes unity among Aachen's residents by depicting a raised little finger of the right hand.

Finally, we'll visit the Money Fountain before concluding our tour after 1 hour and 45 minutes of sightseeing in Aachen.
