Abisko National Park Hiking Tour

On this hiking tour of Abisko National Park, you'll explore the landscapes of Norrbotten Province in northern Sweden, near the Norwegian border. At the scheduled time, pick-up will be arranged from your hotel to begin the tour, taking you into the arctic nature of the park.

The hike will cover 4 to 5 kilometers (2 to 3 miles) along the Abisko river canyon, offering views of a birch forest and the breathtaking Abisko river delta. The trail continues through high mountain peaks until reaching Torneträsk Lake, one of the largest lakes in Sweden. There, information will be shared about the indigenous peoples of the area and their Arctic lifestyle.

During the hike, there is a possibility to observe native wildlife, including reindeer, mountain hares, foxes, various bird species, and potentially the Scandinavian moose. After approximately two hours of hiking, the tour will return to the starting point.

This tour includes pick-up from hotels in Abisko and Björkliden. Alternatively, guests may choose to meet directly at STF Abisko Turiststation when making a reservation.
