Trollsjön Guided Hike

Description

On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point and then head into the tranquil mountain birch forest. This serene environment sets the scene for a calming 12-kilometre (7.4-mile) hike. Adventurers unite!

As the guide takes us along the mountain path, we'll see various plant species and the native wildlife. As the path ascends past the tree line, the scenery will transform. The dense forest will give way to alpine meadows and rocky outcrops. Throughout the hike, we'll ascend 400 metres (1,312 feet) up through the mountains and valleys, providing stunning panoramic views.

As we enter Kärkevvage, or "Stone Valley", we'll encounter a geological marvel with immense boulders scattered across the valley, deposited by ancient glaciers. The guide will share the area's geological history.

We will arrive at Trollsjön, also known as Rissajaure, meaning "The lake that sparkles like fire". This lake, renowned for its clear waters, is 36 metres (118 feet) deep. After the hike, we'll have a delicious lunch break by the lake. Those who are brave can enjoy a dip in the ice-cold water.

After 7 hours, we'll conclude this stunning hike to Trollsjön.
