Are you an adventure-lover? If so, this hike to Trollsjön is perfect for you. Hike through 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) of stunning Swedish landscape in Abisko.

Description

On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point and head into the tranquil mountain birch forest. This environment, with a forest floor covered in ferns, mosses, and woodland flowers, sets the scene for a calming 12-kilometre (7.4-mile) hike. Adventurers unite!

As the guide takes us along the mountain path, we'll see various plant species and native wildlife. As the path ascends past the tree line, the scenery transforms, yielding to alpine meadows and rocky outcrops. Throughout the hike, we'll ascend 400 metres (1,312 feet) through the mountains and valleys, affording us stunning panoramic views.

Entering Kärkevvage, or "Stone Valley", we will encounter immense boulders deposited by ancient glaciers, creating a unique landscape. The guide will share the area's geological history with us.

We'll arrive at Trollsjön, also known as Rissajaure. This breathtaking lake, renowned for its clear waters, is 36 metres deep (118 feet). After the hike, we'll take a delicious lunch break by the lake's edge and those who wish may swim in the cold water.

After 7 hours, we'll conclude our hike to Trollsjön.
