Cape Coast Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Accra and embark on a tour of Cape Coast. Our first stop will be at Kakum National Park, renowned for its 40-meter suspended bridge that provides a unique view of the rainforest and wildlife.

Next, we will stop at Hans Cottage Botel to relax. This lodge, situated on a pond, features a swimming pool and offers sightings of crocodiles, turtles, and various birds. During this stop, you can have lunch on your own.

Then, we will proceed to Elmina Castle, originally named Castelo de São Jorge da Mina by the Portuguese in 1482. This fortress is the oldest castle located below the Sahara and played a significant role in the Atlantic slave market.

Finally, we will visit Cape Coast Castle, one of the largest fortresses still standing in Ghana, which now serves as a museum. A guided tour will provide insights into the castle's connection with the gold and timber trade.

After a 12-14 hour tour, we will drop you back off at your accommodation in Accra.
