Tour of Accra
Between 5 and 6 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Accra to start a tour of the main points of interest in the capital of Ghana. We'll tour both by foot and by minibus.
The first stop will be at the National Museum of Ghana, where we will learn about the culture, history, and heritage of the country. Next, we will visit Independence Square, which features monuments commemorating Ghana's independence struggle.
Following that, we'll explore Jamestown, one of the oldest districts of Accra. This stop includes the 1871 British lighthouse and pre-colonial houses, as we discuss the area's history during the slave trade era.
Afterwards, we will visit the Makola market, where you can browse various stalls and purchase a typical Ghanaian handicraft.
Next, we'll see the W. E. B. Du Bois memorial and the Center for National Culture.
The tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel between 11 am and 12 pm.
