Do you want to go scuba diving? Whether you're a beginner or have certification, this activity in Aci Castello offers the opportunity to explore the Gulf of Catania.

Activity Details

At your chosen time, we'll meet at Via Provinciale 23/25 in Aci Trezza and walk to the port of Aci Castello where the boat is waiting. We will sail on the Ionian Sea in search of the best scuba diving spots.

Upon arrival, we will equip ourselves with the necessary technical gear, including fins and oxygen tanks. Training on the role of each piece of equipment, as well as underwater communication signals and basic safety rules, will be provided.

We will then dive into the protected marine area of the Cyclopean Isles. Beginners can dive to a depth of 6 meters (19 feet), while certified divers can reach 18 meters (59 feet).

You will be accompanied by an instructor, swimming around islets of volcanic origin and observing aquatic life, including white seabreams, blackspot seabreams, octopuses, sea sponges, and gorgonias. Additionally, we will explore volcanic faults, columns of solidified lava, and sunken ships from World War II.

The activity lasts a total of 4 hours, concluding with our return to the original port.
