Activity Details
Meeting point is at Via Provinciale 23/25 in Aci Trezza. From there, we will walk to the port of Aci Castello, where a boat will be waiting. We will sail along the Ionian Sea to find optimal scuba diving locations.
Participants will be equipped with necessary technical gear including fins and an oxygen pump. A briefing on equipment, underwater communication signals, and basic safety rules will be provided.
Then, the dive will commence. Beginners can dive to a depth of 6 meters (19 feet), while certified divers can go up to 18 meters (59 feet).
Accompanied by an instructor, we will explore the marine area of the Cyclopean Isles, observing flora and fauna such as white seabream, blackspot seabream, octopus, sea sponges, and gorgonias.
During the dive, we will encounter volcanic faults, columns of solidified lava, and various rock formations. Additionally, we will visit sites in the Gulf of Catania where sunken ships from the Second World War can be seen.
The total duration of the activity is 4 hours, concluding with disembarkation at the original port.
