Alcazar & Jewish Quarter Guided Tour Itinerary
At the scheduled time, you'll depart from the Puerta del Perdón in central Cordoba to begin your walking route around the picturesque streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your tour begins by visiting the area surrounding the Puerta del Perdón, integrated into ancient Roman walls. A distinguished former resident of Cordoba, Seneca, a Roman philosopher, is commemorated here. At the end of the wall, you will find another statue of Averrores, a notable Arab philosopher.
Moving past the wall, you will explore the narrow streets of Cordoba's Jewish Quarter, where you'll see a statue of Maimonedes, a prominent Jewish philosopher, astronomer, and physician.
Your tour will then proceed to the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, also known as the Castle of the Christian Monarchs. Experience the captivating Moorish gardens during your guided tour. Here, you will also find a statue commemorating the meeting of Christopher Columbus with Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand.
The guided tour concludes after approximately 2.5 hours.
