Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Katowice. We'll drive for around 1 hour to get to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where some of the most horrific acts in contemporary history took place.

The site consists of various camps. We'll begin our tour by visiting Auschwitz I, the concentration camp originally built to house political prisoners, and later expanded to include Jews, homosexuals, Romani people, and others. At the entrance, we'll see the inscription "Arbeit macht frei". We will then observe the small cells imprisoning the detainees and the areas where forced labor occurred.

Our tour will proceed to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp where many met their deaths. Here, we'll view the remains of the crematoriums and gas chambers, which were destroyed by German troops to conceal evidence.

The tour will conclude back in Katowice at 3 pm.
