Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Katowice. The drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau takes approximately 1 hour. The site consists of several camps. We will begin by visiting Auschwitz I, originally designed for political prisoners and later housing many targeted by the Nazis, including Jews, homosexuals, Romani people, and the intelligentsia. At the entrance, we will see the inscription "Arbeit macht frei." The tour will include the small cells where prisoners lived and their work areas.

Next, we will visit Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp, where many were sent to their deaths. We will see the remains of the crematoriums and gas chambers, which were destroyed by German troops to conceal evidence. The tour concludes back in Katowice at 3 pm.
