Charming villages, historic landmarks and spectacular natural landscapes: discover the breathtaking beauty of Ireland's west coast on this tour of Connemara and the Wild Atlantic Way from Galway.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the specified time at the entrance to Kinlay Hostel in Galway and board a bus to begin our adventure on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Travelling west along Galway Bay, we'll pass through picturesque towns such as Barna, Furbo, Spiddal and Inverin, offering beautiful views of the Connemara region.
Continuing, we'll visit Bothar na Scragoige and stop in the coastal town of Roundstone and Dog's Bay Beach.
Next, we will head to Derrygimlagh Bog, historically significant in the world of communications and aviation.
Following the Wild Atlantic Way, we'll pass through Clifden and reach Sky Road, known for its ocean views.
You will have 3 hours to choose your activity: a tour of Connemara National Park or a visit to the exterior of Kylemore Abbey, commissioned by politician Mitchell Henry as a wedding gift for his wife.
After regrouping, we will cross the Twelve Bens and Maumturk mountains and the Inagh Valley, visit the Connemara Giant and the Quite Man Bridge, which will be our final stop.
We will conclude this 9-hour tour back at the original departure point in Galway.
