Corralejo, El Cotillo and Ajuy Day Trip

Our Corralejo, El Cotillo and Ajuy Day Trip is designed for those staying in Southern Fuerteventura wanting to explore the northern region of the island. The itinerary includes visits to the Corralejo Sand Dunes, the fishing village of El Cotillo, and a scenic hike through Ajuy.

Corralejo, El Cotillo and Ajuy Day Trip

Pickup occurs at your hotel in southern Fuerteventura between 8 am and 8:30 am. The tour begins with a short drive (approximately one hour) to the small village of Ajuy.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1.6 mile hike (2.5km) lasting 45 minutes, exploring ravines and viewing natural caves, cliffs of 130 feet (40 meters), and the remains of old lime kilns.

After the hike, we will stroll through the village before heading to El Cotillo. A brief stop at the El Cotillo Lighthouse will provide stunning views of the Fuerteventura coast and natural lakes, followed by free time to relax on the beach.

In El Cotillo, participants will savor an aperitif of various Canary Island delicacies: cured and fresh cheeses, mojos (garlic sauce), jams, and craft beer.

The tour continues to the Corralejo Nature Reserve, where we will spend one hour walking through the extensive sand dunes, a highlight of Fuerteventura.

The day concludes at 4 pm, with return to your hotel by 6 pm.

Hotel Pick Up

This trip includes pickup from the southern areas of the island and Caleta Fuste. Pickup is not available from hotels in the northern regions, including Puerto del Rosario, up to Corralejo.
