Glendalough, Wicklow & Kilkenny Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll depart from Dublin City Gallery towards the Wicklow Mountains. During the journey in an air-conditioned bus, enjoy the scenery featured in Hollywood blockbusters such as P.S. I Love You and Braveheart. A 10-minute stop will allow for photo opportunities.
On arrival at Glendalough, you'll have 2 hours to explore the area, which includes the Glendalough Monastic Site from the 10th century, as well as lakes and waterfalls that highlight Ireland's green spaces.
Next, observe a local farmer and his sheepdog using whistle commands to manage a herd of sheep. If fortunate, there may be a puppy in training and lambs present.
We will then proceed to the village of Kilkenny, where you'll have 2 hours to walk its cobbled streets and explore castles. Visit the Black Abbey and the Cathedral of Saint Canice with its notable round tower.
After a full day of exploration, we will return to Dublin by bus, with arrival expected between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
