On this tour we'll visit two of the most interesting places found on the outskirts of Tokyo: Kamakura, known for its Grand Buddha and Enoshima!
Tour Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tokyo, on foot, at the indicated time and make our way to the train station to start our day trip to Kamakura. After a brief 1-hour train ride, we'll arrive at Kamakura Station. First, we'll stroll down Komachi-dori Street, where we'll admire shops with local handicrafts and restaurants.
At the end of Komachi-dori Street, we'll find the Tsurugaoka Hachimang? Shrine, the most important Shinto shrine in the city, known for its gardens and iconic staircase providing panoramic views.
Next, we'll take a 5-minute tram ride to the K?toku-in Temple and the Great Buddha statue. Our guide will share historical insights, and you can enter the Buddha statue for an additional cost.
Afterward, we'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch at local restaurants. Then, we'll return to the tram station and take a 20-minute tram to Enoshima.
Here, we'll stroll the Benzaiten Nakamise-dori shopping street, exploring souvenir shops and food stalls. Options include trying takoyaki or shirasu. After a day exploring, we'll return to Tokyo, arriving 8 hours later at Tokyo Station.
