Embark on a day trip to Lake Tota, an extraordinary opportunity to discover the inland sea of Boyacá, enveloped by striking Andean landscapes while exploring the picturesque nearby villages.

Description

Your adventure commences with a pickup from your hotel in Tunja, setting the stage for a journey to Lake Tota, renowned for its natural beauty as the inland sea of Boyacá.

As we make our way, a brief stop in the delightful town of Paipa invites us to enjoy Colombian coffee alongside cheese and a traditional baked good, the almojábana. Once refreshed, we’ll proceed towards Aquitania, where we will indulge in a soothing boat ride on Lake Tota, the largest lake in Colombia.

On our voyage, we will head to San Pedro Island, soaking in its breathtaking views before returning to our boat for the ride back to Aquitania. Upon arrival, a traditional lunch awaits us, featuring a starter, a main dish of freshly caught lake trout, accompanied by a refreshing drink.

Next, we will explore the Customs Museum of Aquitania, delving into various folkloric exhibitions while visiting key villages surrounding Lake Tota. Our first destination will be Iza, where we’ll taste its iconic dessert.

Continuing onwards, we’ll stop in Cuitiva and Tibasosa. In Tibasosa, we can savor a delightful feijoa sabajón, a beloved local liqueur noted for its rich sweetness and creamy texture.

Finally, we’ll conclude our adventure with a return to your hotel in Tunja, approximately 10 hours after our departure.
