Lasithi Plateau 4x4 Excursion

Embark on a full-day 4x4 excursion from Heraklion to the stunning Lasithi plateau in the heart of Crete. The adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:30 am, followed by a drive to Hersonissos where the journey into the plateau commences.

During the tour, you'll visit the Aposelemi dam and possibly catch a glimpse of the ancient village of Sfendili. Passing through olive groves, we'll reach the picturesque village of Amariano, known for its Roman aqueduct. The highlight of the trip is the Dikteon cave, legendary as the birthplace of Zeus.

After exploring the cave, a stop at Halavro restaurant awaits, offering a delicious lunch menu featuring local specialties. The return journey includes visits to the monastery of Kera and the village of Mohos for a taste of the traditional liquor, raki.

The tour concludes with a drop-off back at your hotel in Heraklion between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
