Dive head first into Florence! Stroll through the street on a guided tour as we uncover the impact of the famous Medici family on the city's architecture.

Tour Details

Meet us in the central Piazza della Reppublica of Firenze, where we'll kick off our guided walking tour of Florence. We'll explore the history surrounding the Medici family.

The knowledgeable guide will set the scene as we walk through a city inhabited since prehistoric times and a center for Etruscan culture. Our first stop is Piazza della Signoria, adjacent to Palazzo Vecchio, which are prime examples of Medici influence.

Next, we'll visit the Duomo, Florence's Cathedral, which encompasses a three-part complex consisting of the Baptistry and Giotto's Campanile. These structures, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, benefited from the support of Cosimo Medici. During this stop, our guide will discuss the significance of the gold-paneled "Gates of Paradise."

Following this, we'll head to Orsanmichele, originally a grain market turned church for powerful craft and trade guilds, and then to Santa Trinita Church, where the Column of Justice was gifted to Cosimo de Medici by Pope Pius IV.

Finally, after 1.5 hours of exploring Florence's rich history, we'll conclude the tour.
