Join us for a stroll through the port of Xàbia, uncovering the history and iconic places of this city from its origins to the 20th century.

Description

We will meet at Xàbia Posit to commence our journey, focusing on the highlights of Xàbia and its port.

The first stop will be the Xàbia Yacht Club, where we will explore the history of Xàbia port and its significance in the export of raisins during the 20th century along with local wines and the concept of "Riu Rau."

Next, we will briefly visit the Fishermen's Guild to examine the unique fishing techniques in Xàbia and their associated dangers.

Then, we will pass by the Our Lady of Loreto Parish, noting its 20th-century avant-garde architecture, before moving on to the Joaquín Sorolla Sculpture. We will discuss Joaquín Sorolla's connection to Xàbia, his contributions to Impressionism, and the reasons for his absence from the city.

Our journey continues to the Casa del Cable, reflecting on its importance in the 19th century as the site of the first cable linking the Balearic Islands to the Peninsula. After that, we will visit Triana Bridge to learn about the origin of the neighborhood's name, also known as "Aduanas del Mar."

Finally, we will reach Platja del Primer Muntanyar, known for its sunset views. We will discuss iconic sites such as Cabo de la Nau, Baños de la Reina, and the First Montañar before concluding the tour after an hour and a half.
