Povoação and Nordeste Day Trip

Discover the volcanic landscapes of the northeast of Sao Miguel, visiting towns such as Povoação and Nordeste.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada and proceed to the coast of São Miguel. We will stop briefly at the fishing village of Ribeira Grande and continue to the Santa Iria viewpoint.

Next, we will visit Ribeira dois Caldeirões for a local restaurant lunch, allowing you to sample regional flavors.

We will then head to Nordeste to view the Arnel Lighthouse from a nearby viewpoint.

Our route will take us to iconic viewpoints in Nordeste, including Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, before arriving at Povoação.

We will return to Ponta Delgada, passing the Salto do Cavalo viewpoint for a view of Lagoa das Furnas.
