Whale and Dolphin Catamaran Experience
At the selected time, we’ll meet at the port of Colon, located in Costa Adeje. You will board the eco-catamaran boat, accommodating up to 60 people, and embark on a journey looking for these magnificent marine creatures.
This tour takes place on an eco-friendly catamaran equipped with solar panels, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. This feature ensures a quiet and environmentally friendly sightseeing experience.
Due to the marine currents in the Canary Islands, you may encounter various large cetaceans such as pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins. The specific sightings will depend on the weather conditions on the day of your trip.
Additionally, you will not only observe these creatures swimming close to the catamaran, but you will also learn to interpret their behavior by listening to their sounds. These animals produce a complex array of sounds for communication, which many experts describe as having a ‘dialect’.
About halfway through the trip, we will stop to allow you to take a dip in the ocean. Onboard, you can recharge with a selection of sandwiches and aperitifs, including beer, soft drinks, and mineral water. You will have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim as well.
After three hours, we will return to the departure port, concluding this special and distinctive experience.
How does it work?
You will enjoy an eco-friendly sailing experience, engaging directly with the marine life of Tenerife. The tour lasts three hours and includes provided refreshments during the journey. You will have opportunities to swim in the ocean and observe cetaceans in their natural habitat.
