The eruption of Mount Vesuvius caused devastation to the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. On this day trip, we'll discover what these cities were once like.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your meeting point and drive to the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, buried by the lava and ash expelled by Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Once we arrive at this archaeological site, we'll embark on a guided tour of Pompeii. During the approximately 2-hour tour, we'll discover the remaining landmarks, including the House of the Faun, the Amphitheatre, and the House of Menander.

After the tour, you'll have 1 hour of free time to have lunch in the local area. We will then continue to Herculaneum, where we'll explore its well-preserved remains, particularly the Casa dei Cervi and the Sacello degli Augustali.

After the tour of Herculaneum, we'll visit a local cameo workshop. The excursion concludes with our return to the meeting points, scheduled for 8 hours after pickup.
