Visit the ruins of the city that was destroyed by one of the most well-known eruptions of all time on our Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip. We'll set off from Maiori and take a trip almost 2,000 years back in time.

Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we'll see you at the meeting point of your choice and set off for the ancient city of Pompeii. After a 50-minute drive, we'll arrive and take a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii, revisiting the 24th of August 79 AD, when Vesuvius erupted and buried the most prosperous city in the Roman Empire.

We'll see the remains found during the excavations, such as the forum, baths, and theatre. As we explore this World Heritage Site, we'll learn about daily life. Afterwards, you'll have 1 hour of free time to have lunch at a local restaurant.

Feeling fuelled, we'll head to Mount Vesuvius. We'll ascend the first 3,280 feet (1,000 metres) by bus and then walk the rest of the way to the top of this volcano, where we’ll admire views of the Bay of Naples. Finally, we'll head down the volcano and return by bus to Maiori after 10 hours of exploring.
