Day Trip Details

Collection from your hotel will commence, and we'll travel eastward for nearly 2 hours to reach the archaeological site of Bateshwar.

The site, on the banks of the Yamuna River, features more than two hundred temples dedicated to key Hindu deities: Shiva, Vishnu, and Kali. These shrines, many in ruins, have been abandoned for over six centuries.

During the tour around the temples of Bateshwar, you'll observe restoration efforts on buildings constructed between the 8th and 10th centuries. You'll walk among the temples and ruins, noting the distinct characteristics of each shrine. From the terraces, you’ll enjoy views of the Bateshwar sanctuaries across ten hectares.

After the visit, transportation will be provided back to your hotel in Agra.
