We will collect you from the hotel and head towards the Itimad-ud-Daulah tomb. This mausoleum is located on the banks of the river Yamuna and is commonly known as “the small Taj”.

During our visit we will explore why the tomb is considered to be the precursor to the famous Taj Mahal. We will learn about the connection between the nobleman interred there and the emperor who constructed the Taj Mahal decades later while admiring the detailed architecture of this white marble building.

We will continue the tour in the Mehtab Bagh garden. This square park was constructed on the banks opposite the Taj Mahal, providing some of the best views of the monument.

During the visit, you will learn about the history of the Mehtab Bagh. Legend has it that Shah Jahan, who designed the Taj Mahal, wanted to construct a black marble replica here. We will discuss the validity of this rumor.

You will have the opportunity to stroll around the symmetrical gardens at your leisure and take photos of the Taj Mahal. After the tour concludes, we will take you back to your hotel.
