Valley of the Temples Private Tour

At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Chiosca della Limonata to begin our private tour of Agrigento.

This 2-hour tour of the Valley of the Temples includes highlights of a key site in Magna Graecia, noted for its Doric temples, declared a World Heritage Site in 1998. We will enjoy views of the Mediterranean Sea from the Temple of Juno and walk along the Via Sacra, where we will see remnants of the ancient city referenced by Virgil in The Aeneid. The tour will bring us to the Temple of Concordia to learn about its history.

We will also pass by a paleochristian necropolis, discussing various historical periods the complex has experienced. Additionally, we will view the Temples of Heracles and Zeus and hear mythological stories regarding Agracante.

Our private tour concludes 2 hours after starting at the Temple of Zeus.

3-hour Tour

For an extended experience, the 3-hour tour includes a visit to the Temple of Castor and Pollux and the Kolymbetra Garden, known for its typical Sicilian orange and lemon trees. The tour will conclude in the Kolymbetra Garden.
