On this excursion to the Pertosa Caves, we'll explore these ancient caves near the Charterhouse of Padula and visit the baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte!

Pertosa Caves Excursion

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Cinetheater of Agropoli, where we'll board the minibus to travel to the Pertosa Caves, near the famous Charterhouse of Padula. These caves are also known as the "Angel's Caves."

We'll go deep into the earth and explore these ancient caves to discover the treasures they hide. Inside, we'll see a palafitic village from the 2nd century BC and an underground river. We will take a boat ride on the Black River, a unique phenomenon that occurs only in this location in Italy.

Finally, we'll return to Agropoli, concluding the tour 4 hours after the excursion begins.
