Pertosa Caves Excursion

On this excursion to the Pertosa Caves, we will explore these ancient caves near the Charterhouse of Padula, which features an underground river.

At the scheduled time, we will meet in front of the Cinetheater of Agropoli and board the minibus to travel to the Pertosa Caves. These are also known as the “Angel's Caves.”

We will delve into the caves to discover various historical treasures, including a palafitic village from the 2nd century BC and the underground river. A notable feature of the visit includes a boat ride on the Black River, a unique experience in this location in Italy.

During the tour, participants will have access to explanations through an audio guide, which will provide important information about the caves.

Finally, we will return to Agropoli, concluding the tour at the starting point 4 hours after the excursion begins.
