On this guided tour of Agropoli, we'll explore its medieval castle situated atop a rock, stroll through the cobbled streets, and savor its local gastronomy.

Tour of Agropoli

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the access steps to the historical center of Agropoli leading to the Angio-Aragonese castle.

First, we'll cross the Porta Bizantina, a main entrance dating back to medieval times. As we pass through, we’ll immerse ourselves in the historical ambiance of Agropoli Vecchia, walking along cobbled streets bordered by stone houses.

Next, we'll visit the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, a 16th-century architectural gem known for its simple facade and captivating frescoed interior. Afterward, we'll wander the narrow streets of the village to experience the authentic Cilento atmosphere.

Then, we'll proceed to the Aragonese Castle to admire its exterior. This 8th-century fortress overlooks the village from a promontory. We’ll discuss its history and associated legends. Finally, we’ll descend to a viewpoint to enjoy scenic views of the sea and cliffs.

Our tour concludes at the port of Agropoli with a coffee and cake or ice cream, wrapping up the experience after 3 hours.
