Aguascalientes Haciendas Tour

At 10 am, pickup from your hotel will commence for our tour of the historic haciendas of Aguascalientes.

Our first stop is El Chichimeco, an 18th century hacienda once owned by the Armillita family, known for their involvement in bullfighting. Visitors will tour the farmhouse, viewing bullfighting artefacts including costumes, trophies, and newspapers.

Next, we'll travel to Garabato Hacienda and the neoclassical Basilica of San Isidro. Here, we will explore the hacienda, one of Mexico’s initial establishments for breeding fighting bulls, and learn about the bullfighting sport.

Following this, we'll visit San Blas, a 17th century agricultural hacienda which houses the Insurgencia Museum. In its porticoed courtyard, visitors will learn about the deposition of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and the Battle of Calderón Bridge. This location is adjacent to the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, a significant 2560-kilometre trade route extending from Mexico City to Santa Fe.

At 1 pm, the tour will conclude with your return to the hotel.
