Delve into Aguascalientes' past by visiting two of its most important historic sites with this tour of Tepezalá and Real de Asientos. Dark tunnels, imposing churches and a sinister ossuary await!

Real de Asientos & Tepezalá Tour

At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Aguascalientes and set off for the town of Tepezalá.

We'll visit the Antonio Reyna Museum, where we will learn about the history of Tepezalá through exhibitions of historic objects and information panels, including insights into the Guachichil and Chichimeca people.

Next, we'll see the Church of Nuestro Señor de Tepezalá, dedicated to the Black Christ, and hear the associated legend. Following this, we'll visit the Church of Nuestra Señora del Refugio to view its gold filigree and wallpaper decoration.

We will then head to the Magical Town of Real de Asientos, known for its colonial architecture. Here, we'll explore the Mining Museum, which features a collection of rocks from the local mine, transport wagons, drilling tools, and mammoth bones.

Additionally, we will go underground to see 17th century tunnels and admire the local pantheon and ossuary.

On the outskirts of Real de Asientos, we will visit the ex-Convent of the Señor del Tepozán, which houses religious objects and artefacts of the Huachichil people.

Finally, we will return to Aguascalientes, arriving at your hotel by 3 pm.
