Real de Asientos & Tepezalá Tour
At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Aguascalientes and set off for the town of Tepezalá.
We'll visit the Antonio Reyna Museum, where we'll learn about the history of Tepezalá through exhibitions of historic objects and information panels, including insights into the Guachichil and Chichimeca people.
Next, we'll see the Church of Nuestro Señor de Tepezalá, dedicated to the Black Christ, and learn about its associated legend. Following this, we will visit the Church of Nuestra Señora del Refugio to observe its gold filigree and distinctive wallpaper decoration.
We will continue to the Magical Town of Real de Asientos, characterized by its colonial architecture built of pink stone. We will visit the town's Mining Museum, which features a large collection of rocks, transport wagons, drilling tools, and mammoth bones.
Next, we’ll explore some 17th century tunnels designed to prevent dampness in churches and view the local pantheon and ossuary.
On the outskirts of Real de Asientos, we'll visit the ex-Convent of the Señor del Tepozán, which houses numerous religious objects and artifacts belonging to the Huachichil people.
Finally, we will return to Aguascalientes, arriving at your hotel by 3 pm.
