We will gather at the specified time at the Aix-en-Provence tourist office before departing northwest towards Les Baux de Provence, located about an hour away.
Upon arrival, you can wander at your leisure in this medieval village nestled in the Alpilles mountain range. The panoramic views from the castle are truly breathtaking! Next, we’ll proceed to Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we will take a moment to appreciate its magnificent architecture.
A short half-hour drive will take us to Avignon, where you can enjoy free time for lunch and, if desired, visit the Papal Palace and the renowned Avignon Bridge, alongside other notable attractions in the area.
Following our Avignon visit, we will embark on a scenic tour of Châteauneuf du Pape, admiring its historic stone homes and an 800-year-old fortress. You will also have the chance to visit a local winery and partake in a delightful wine tasting experience. Cheers to that!
