Why Explore a Lavender Field?
The lavender fields of Provence rank among the cherished natural wonders of the southern region of France. From June to August, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking expanse painted in purples!
Your visit includes access to the Terre Ugo property, where approximately 30,000 lavender plants thrive across a 7-hectare family-run farm.
Within the field, you will encounter a variety known as Lavandin Grosso. This type, resulting from natural hybridization, typically flourishes at altitudes ranging from 656 to 3,280 ft (200 to 1,000 meters). Notably, all crops are cultivated following organic practices.
As you explore, you will discover various shaded spots and sun loungers perfect for relaxation while soaking in the picturesque purple scenery. Additionally, a petanque court is available for you to enjoy, enhancing the French cultural experience.
Even though this experience is not conducted with a guide, the estate's staff are available to address any inquiries you may have. If you visit at the end of August, you may also witness the lavender harvesting procedure!
The anticipated length of your stay at the lavender field is between 1.5 to 2 hours, but you are welcome to remain on the farm until its closing hours.
