No trip to Corsica is complete without visiting the Sanguinaires Islands. With this cruise, you will sail along the coast from Ajaccio and be mesmerized by the famous red tones of the rocks.

Sanguinaires Islands Boat Cruise

The tour departs from Ajaccio, heading towards the Sanguinaires Islands. The route follows the Corsican coast, passing the house of Tino Rossi, a celebrated French actor and singer from the region. Additionally, you will see the 'Chapel of the Greeks', built by Greek refugees in the 18th century before relocating north.

Upon reaching the Sanguinaires Islands, the main attraction, you will view the iconic tower of Parata, a Genoese turret from 1608. The rocks' reddish tones, which inspired the islands' name, are due to the prevalent jasper rock in the area.

There will be a stop on the main island of Mezumare for 1 hour, allowing time for swimming or walking to the Alphonse Duadet lighthouse. You can also explore the ruins of a ‘lazarreto’, an old quarantine station for fishermen and sailors, now home to various birds.

After approximately 3 hours, the tour concludes with a return to the port of Ajaccio.
