Visit some of the incredible natural areas in the Diamond Circle on our tour of Dettifoss, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn & Ásbyrgi. We'll explore one of the most famous routes in North Iceland and see breathtaking views.

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Akureyri at the designated time to start our tour of the Diamond Circle, featuring Dettifoss, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn, and Ásbyrgi Canyon.

The first stop will be Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods." Next, we will visit Lake Mývatn and its volcanic surroundings, including the active geothermal area Hverir. Following this, we will explore the Viti crater near Krafla Volcano.

We will then proceed to Dettifoss Waterfall, where you can experience the powerful flow of 200 cubic metres of water falling per second.

After Dettifoss, we will travel through Jökulsárgljúfur Canyon towards Vesturdalur Valley, where we will see the Whispering Cliffs and their unique volcanic formations.

Finally, we will visit the horseshoe-shaped Ásbyrgi Canyon, a location steeped in legend. We will then head to the colorful town of Húsavík, allowing some free time to relax at a café before returning to Akureyri to conclude the tour after a total of 9 hours.
