Visit some of the incredible natural areas in the Diamond Circle on our tour of Dettifoss, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn & Ásbyrgi. We'll explore one of the most famous routes in North Iceland and see breathtaking views.

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Akureyri at the designated time and begin our tour around the must-see spots in the Diamond Circle: Detifoss, Húsavík, Lake Mývatn, and Ásbyrgi Canyon.

The first stop will be Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods." Following this, we will visit Lake Mývatn and its surrounding volcanic area, including Hverir, the most active geothermal area in Iceland, where you can observe steam rising from the ground. We will also visit the Viti crater near the Krafla Volcano.

Next, we will head to the Dettifoss Waterfall, noted for its powerful cascade of 200 cubic metres of water falling per second. We will continue through the Jökulsárgljúfur Canyon to the Vesturdalur Valley, where the Whispering Cliffs or "Hljóðaklettar" are located.

In the final part of our tour, we'll visit the Ásbyrgi Canyon, a horseshoe-shaped formation linked to local legends. Our last stop will be the colorful town of Húsavík, where you will have free time to relax at one of its cafés. We will then return to Akureyri, concluding the tour after a total of 9 hours.
