Godafoss Waterfall & Lake Mývatn Shore Excursion

We'll meet at the cruise terminal in Akureyri at the specified time to begin our excursion to Godafoss Waterfall and Lake Mývatn, two key natural attractions in northern Iceland.

Our drive will take us along the coast of Eyjafjordur. The first stop will be the Godafoss Waterfall, renowned for its beauty.

On the route to Lake Mývatn, we'll view volcanic formations, including lava pillars. The lake was formed by a large eruption of basaltic lava 2,300 years ago.

Next, we will visit the Grjótagjá Cave and the Hverarönd hot springs area in Námaskarð. Here, you can relax in the steam baths or have a massage, or choose to have lunch at a nearby restaurant.

On the return trip, we'll see the Dimmuborgir lava formations and stop at Skútustaðagígar, known for its pseudo craters. The excursion concludes with a stop at Eyjafjordur, the longest fjord in northern Iceland.

The excursion will end with farewells back at the meeting point in Akureyri after 6 hours.
