On this tour of northern Iceland starting from Akureyri, you'll explore three key waterfalls: Godafoss, Selfoss, and Dettifoss.

Diamond Circle Tour

Pickup will be from your hotel in Akureyri at the designated time, and the tour will commence around the Diamond Circle.

The first stop is the Godafoss Waterfall, significant as the "waterfall of the gods" and an important historical site for the Christianisation of Iceland. Following this, we'll visit Lake Mývatn, known for its volcanic landscape.

Next, we'll proceed to the Reykjadalur Valley and the Skutustadir Craters. The tour continues to Dimmuborgir, featuring notable lava formations over 2000 years old, with a walk through the "dark castles" and a visit to Grjótagjá Cave.

We will also gaze at the Selfoss and Dettifoss waterfalls, among the most remarkable in Iceland. The tour includes time to experience the hot springs of Grjótagja, allowing you to take a dip in the thermal baths near Lake Mývatn.

The tour concludes with a pass by Eyjafjordur for photo opportunities, followed by drop-off at your hotel in Akureyri, completing this 9-hour tour.
