Join us on this whale watching tour in Iceland. We cruise from Akureyri along the Eyjafjörður fjord, offering opportunities to spot these marine mammals up close.

Activity Details

You will meet your guide at the Oddeyrarbót floating pier at the scheduled time. Board the whale watching boat and set sail from Akureyri across the waters of the Eyjafjörður, one of Iceland's longest fjords. You can enjoy the views from the cafeteria inside or from the deck.

As you move further from the coast, you may begin to spot whales swimming in the water. Your expert English-speaking guide will provide information and answer questions about these creatures.

After your 2 to 4-hour cruise, you will return to Akureyri and be dropped off at the original departure point.

Whale Watching

Whales are unpredictable, and sightings may vary due to factors like ocean currents, winds, and weather. The Arctic climate can change rapidly, affecting whale behavior.

If sightings are challenging, the high-speed boat will take you to Hrísey Island, 35 kilometers from the dock, where more whales are often found.

The trip duration may vary based on weather and the time needed to locate whales. All activities are conducted with respect for their natural habitat.
