Muharraq Private Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet you at your hotel in Manama. We'll drive to the neighbouring city of Muharraq, which was the capital of Bahrain until 1923.
The first stop will be at the house of Isa ibin Ali Al Khalifa, who ruled the country for 63 years. This 19th-century building features several rooms and courtyards that provide insight into Bahrain's history.
Next, we'll visit the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre, a cultural space focused on philosophy, literature, and poetry, showcasing beautiful Arabic calligraphy.
We'll also visit the Abdullah Al Zayed House, the former residence of the founder of the country’s first newspaper. After this, we will enter the Kurar House to learn about the interconnection of craftsmanship, family, and tradition.
If you'd like to shop, the last stop will be at the Muharraq souq. We will return to your hotel, concluding the tour four hours after the start time.
