On this tour of Al-Ula, we will explore the old town of this Saudi city, including its adobe houses and the reasons for its abandonment in the 1980s.

At the designated time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to the old town of Al-Ula to learn about the city's history.

Inhabited since the 12th century, the historic center of Al-Ula features a labyrinth of narrow streets with stone and adobe houses and stores. We will explore its origins and the economic prosperity it experienced along the "Incense Route".

The guided tour will also include a visit to an ancient castle and a discussion of the legends associated with the area, passed down through generations.

You will observe traditional Arab architecture and learn why the city was abandoned at the end of the 20th century, as its inhabitants relocated to modern Al-Ula, located 6.2 miles (10 km) away, due to improved infrastructure.

After an hour of sightseeing, the tour will conclude with a return to your hotel.
