Tour to Tayma

This excursion to Tayma allows exploration of an ancient site over 2,000 years old, including palaces and the largest water well in Saudi Arabia. You'll be picked up between 7 and 8 am at your hotel in Al-Ula and drive for 2 hours to the archaeological site of Tayma, one of the oldest human settlements in Saudi Arabia.

On the way, there will be stops for self-guided visits to notable monuments such as Bir Haddaj, the country's largest water well, and the palaces of Al Ridham and Al Hamra.

Upon arrival in Tayma, you will see its ancient walls, dating back to the 7th century B.C., reflecting its historical significance due to its strategic location in an oasis and connection to trade routes. Following this, lunch will be provided at a restaurant featuring various Saudi culinary delicacies.

The next visit will be to the ruins of the Qasr Al Romman palace, previously owned by Tayma governors. The excursion will also include a visit to the Al Fajr Museum, showcasing artifacts from the area.
