Albufeira Beginner Scuba Diving

Want to feel like a fish in the sea? Try this beginner scuba diving experience in Albufeira and find out what it’s like to breathe underwater. You’ll be hooked after the first dive!

Activity Details

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the dive center in the Albufeira Marina. Your instructor will provide a short theory lesson, and after filling out a simple form, we’ll prepare our gear and head to a confined water area.

Upon arrival at the pool, you’ll learn to don your diving equipment and practice basic skills essential for your open-water dive. Skills include clearing your mask, sharing air using the alternate regulator, and communicating underwater.

After completing these exercises, we’ll head to the port and board a boat to cruise along the coast toward the selected dive site for the day.

Once in the water, we’ll deflate our vests and descend to a maximum depth of 12 meters (39 feet). This segment lasts about 30 minutes, depending on your air consumption, during which we’ll explore Albufeira’s underwater world and observe local marine life.

When the gauge indicates it's time, we’ll return to the boat and head back to the dive center, concluding a total of about three hours and 45 minutes of adventure.

Important

After your last dive, you must wait at least 24 hours before flying or going to high-altitude areas.
