Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Albufeira to begin this day trip to Faro, Olhão, and Tavira. First, we'll explore the walled center of Faro, the capital of the Algarve, featuring cobblestone streets leading to different squares. The largest square is Largo da Sé, home to the Faro Cathedral, known for its stone facade and medieval tower that offers scenic views. You'll have free time to purchase a souvenir before continuing to Olhão, a charming fishing town, where we'll visit the local market to see regional products.

Next, we'll head to Tavira, notable for the Roman bridge that crosses the Gilão River and its historic center. Here, you'll have an hour of free time to eat and try a dish of Portuguese cuisine. Following lunch, we'll stop for a picture at the lovely Vila Nova de Cacela Beach before returning to Albufeira. This will be an 8-hour day trip.
