Silves and Caldas de Monchique Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Albufeira and head northwest to Silves, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.

Upon arrival, we'll explore the historic center to discover the Moorish influences of the ancient capital of the Algarve. We will first see the exterior of Silves Castle, one of the best-preserved Moorish fortresses in Portugal, and learn about its history dating back to the 8th century. Nearby, we'll also visit the Cathedral, a Gothic-style building built over the remains of an ancient mosque.

Next, we'll travel to Caldas de Monchique, a village known for its hot springs and stunning scenery. Here, we'll experience the tranquility that attracted the Romans.

Afterwards, we'll proceed to Fóia de Monchique, the highest peak in the Algarve, where you can capture remarkable photos of the surrounding valleys and, if the skies are clear, the Atlantic Ocean in the distance.

We will conclude the excursion by returning you to your hotel at approximately 1 pm.
