On this day trip from Madrid to Alcalá de Henares, we'll see the main points of interest of this World Heritage city, including the University dating back to 1499 and the birthplace of Cervantes.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Monument to Philip IV of Spain in Plaza de Oriente, Madrid. Once assembled, we will board a bus to Alcalá de Henares.

After a 20-minute drive, we will arrive in the World Heritage City. Here, a guided tour will commence, showcasing landmarks such as Alcalá de Henares Cathedral and the Neo-Mudéjar Palace of Laredo. Information about the historical significance of each site will be provided.

We will proceed to Calle Mayor, noting the old Hospital de Antenaza, one of the oldest health institutions in Spain, established in 1483. Adjacent is the Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes, the birthplace of the renowned writer Cervantes.

The tour continues at the University of Alcalá, where we will visit the auditorium for the Cervantes Prizes, the interior courtyards, and the Chapel of San Ildefonso. The architecture and history of the university will be highlighted.

After visiting the university, we will return to Madrid via bus, concluding the tour after a total of 4 hours.
