Join us on a tour from Alcocéber to the Maestrazgo Mining Park and the town of Culla, exploring the history of miners and the former residence of the Knights Templar.

Description

Our adventure begins at the designated time in front of the Alcocéber Tourist Office, where we will start our excursion to the Maestrazgo Mining Park and the town of Culla.

Upon arrival at the Maestrazgo Mining Park, we will board a train to the entrance of the Victoria mine. Here, we will don safety gear and embark on a walking tour through the underground tunnel, exploring the miners' history and gaining insights along the way.

During the tour, we will encounter original tools from the mining era and engage with former miners who will share their experiences, enhancing our understanding of life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.

After returning to the surface, we will take a scenic train ride to the Esperanza mine. For approximately 20 minutes, we will examine geological phenomena and admire the stalactites and stalagmites.

Next, we will visit Culla, a medieval town linked to the Order of the Temple. Its historic center is a Site of Cultural Interest. As we explore its cobblestone streets, we will discover highlights such as the 11th-century Muslim castle, the Comendador's granary, and the former hospital.

Our journey will conclude as we return to Alcocéber, arriving approximately 5 hours after we initially meet.
