Join us on this captivating day trip to the San José Caves from Alcocéber, where we'll venture into underground caves featuring a subterranean river with crystalline waters.

Description

We'll gather at the Alcocéber Tourist Office at the designated time and set off on our excursion to the San José Caves, located in the municipality of Vall d'Uixo, within the Sierra Espadán Natural Park.

After a one-hour journey, we will arrive at the caves. Are you ready to explore the longest navigable underground river in Europe?

The tour through the caves will last about 40 minutes, including a boat trip along an 800-meter (about half a mile) subterranean river, followed by a walking tour through a dry gallery of 255 meters (835 feet). You will discover a unique underground world.

During the excursion, we will share intriguing facts about the San José Caves, including the cave's constant temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. The origin of the river remains a mystery, as does its endpoint.

After exploring the San José Caves, we will visit Calzados Segarra to learn about the museum of the oldest footwear company in Spain, founded in 1882.

We will conclude our San José Caves excursion five hours later as we return to Alcocéber.
