Description
Join us for an excursion to Traiguera and Cervera del Maestre, starting at the Alcocéber Tourist Office. The first segment to Traiguera takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, we will visit an olive oil cellar featuring over 100 ancient olive trees, including the Sinfo olive tree, one of the oldest in Europe.
We will learn about the olive oil production and refinement process, concluding with an olive oil tasting accompanied by local sausages.
Next, we will head to Cervera del Maestre to visit the Oil Interpretation Center, where we will see tools used in olive tree cultivation, oil extraction, and packaging.
This will be followed by a guided tour of Cervera del Maestre, showcasing key landmarks such as the Church of the Assumption, the medieval marketplace, and the exterior of the 12th-century castle.
Before returning to Alcocéber, we will revisit Traiguera to explore the Real Santuario Virgen Fuente de la Salud, a Cultural Interest site since 2007. We will learn about its historical significance as we view its chambers.
The five-hour journey concludes as we return to our starting point in Alcocéber.
