Fortaleza de la Mota Ticket
Constructed between the 12th and 14th centuries during the Andalusian era, the Fortaleza de la Mota stands as one of the best-preserved medieval defensive structures in Andalucía. Positioned on a hill in Alcalá la Real, it offers impressive views of the surroundings.

Fortress Areas
La Alcazaba, the Military Quarter
Explore the thick walls enclosing the castle, which is punctuated by several watchtowers like the Torre de la Vela, the Torre Mocha, and the Torre del Homenaje.
El Bahondillo, the Popular Quarter
Within the castle walls lies the old residential neighborhood of El Bahondillo, where cave dwellings can be admired. You can also find a nevero, which is a shaded area designed to store food and beverages. Additionally, the remains of old wine cellars highlight the significance of wine production in this region during the Andalusian era.
La Medina, the Noble Quarter
The current Main Abbey was established in Christian times, built atop the remnants of an old mosque. This Renaissance building features intricate gargoyles and pinnacles.
