Erice + Trapani Salt Pans Day Trip

Are you in Alcamo? On this day trip to Erice and the Trapani salt pans we will visit a beautiful town and unique landscape in Sicily.

At the appointed time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Alcamo. After a 1-hour drive, we will arrive at our first destination, Erice. You will have 2 hours of free time to explore this medieval village. Stroll through its cobblestone streets and see the exterior of the Tower of Venus along with the panoramic views of the Egadi Islands.

Next, we will head to the Trapani Salt Pans to experience artisanal salt production. We will walk along the banks, observing the mounds of salt and mills. The area's history dates back to the 12th century when the Normans began exploiting it for salt extraction, known as “white gold”. We will also visit the Salt Museum for a unique sensory experience.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Alcamo 5.5 hours later, bringing the day trip to an end.
