At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Alcamo. After a 1-hour drive, we'll arrive in Erice! You'll have 2 hours of free time to explore this medieval village. You can walk through its cobblestone streets and see the exterior of the Tower of Venus, as well as enjoy the panoramic views of the Egadi Islands for photo opportunities.
Next, we'll head to the Trapani Salt Pans, where we will learn about artisanal salt production. We will walk along the banks, observing the mounds of salt and the mills in the area. The history of this site dates back to the 12th century when the Normans began extracting this “white gold”. We'll also visit the Salt Museum for a unique sensory experience.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Alcamo, concluding our day trip after approximately 5.5 hours.
