Meet us at Café Castello in Piazza della Repubblica to begin your day trip to Erice and the Trapani Salt Pans. After a 1-hour drive, our first stop will be Erice, where we will explore the town, walking through its cobblestone streets and visiting the iconic Tower of Venus. Enjoy panoramic views of the Egadi Islands from the summit.

We will then head to the Trapani Salt Pans, a site of artisanal salt production. Here, we will see the mounds of salt and mills that have been part of this landscape since the 12th century when the Normans began extracting this "white gold." A visit to the Salt Museum will provide further insight into the area's history.
