Algiers Kasbah Guided Tour

We'll meet next to the statue of Bologhine Ben Ziri, founder of the Amazigh dynasty of the Ziris. From this location, we head to the upper part of the Algiers Kasbah: a beautiful citadel declared a World Heritage Site.

As we walk through the narrow streets of this neighborhood along the Mediterranean Sea, we will observe the traditional Arab houses and pass numerous stores showcasing traditional Algerian craftsmanship.

We will continue the guided tour in front of the Ketchaoua mosque, admiring its elegant facade and colorful tiles featuring vivid shades of purple, green, and blue.

The route then takes us into the lower part of the kasbah, where we will enter the magnificent Palace of Rais, also known as Bastion 23. Within this monumental 16th-century complex, made up of three palaces and six luxurious mansions, we will learn about its notable inhabitants and their intriguing histories.

Finally, at 12 pm, we will conclude the tour by walking through the main streets of the lower part of the kasbah.
